We tend to write about great places to visit/live/enjoy/experience. Yet in the same time we cannot close our eyes on this systematic destruction of the planet with all means the human race has available. Let’s see some facts now. We want to go to a great place for vacations with or without family, and get our biological batteries re-charged. Stoooooop. We went too far. Let’s back step. Here we go again… A very common scenario is when we decide to give birth or adopt a baby. We are very happy to experience the process from the first months to deliver, being all happy and excited about how our baby will be a great person, perhaps rich and famous, probably a new Nobel prize winner, or even better a person who saves other people lives and souls in medical or not terms. We have acquired our wonderful house with gardens and perhaps some fountains or even better a great play yard with lots and lots of toys. Sounds great and I am sure soul relaxing.
Great parent wise thinking. Good for you. This is wonderful. A little paradise nested in the grasp of your hand. BUT, what will happen to our children as they grow? And when they grow up? What are we going to leave them, to live in to? A world of fire and CO2 emissions? Global warming? Lack of culture on energy saving and nature preserving? Are we going to tell them “…don’t worry, the bubu man will go away?…”, hopping that all environmental issues and problems will be solved? Well, in a way, they are going to be solved. When we destroy all green on this planet and we cannot breathe, when we will poison all water and seas with chemicals, when we will destroy all food and chain of life! This is it! Let’s destroy everything and we will make protests and presentations on Dead (instead of Live) Earth. We will fill out all video sites with commercials on how someone can burn everything. Yet, there will be no one alive to produce it, watch it. Just imagine this. If we destroy everything in, let’s say, the next 40 years (IT’S TOO CLOSE!!!) what will be our future. Simply, none. No magic hand or God’s hand will come when in the general concept of “free will” we would have destroyed everything. Check www.liveearth.org , watch the DVD (get it from Amazon or other provider, or from the site above), and start acting, commenting, writing. Do something. Well, you know, writing about great places is not something that I would only like to do. I would like to visit them. And so, I think, my children (and I have two) will like. Desert has it’s beauty, but when you can compare it with green forests, not when there is only desert. Or are you all planning to immigrate to Mars? See what happened there. To answer the question then. Hell is here! And it is not something like “the others did it”, or the little green men or “somehow” we discovered it. We are creating this hell every day and believe me it is not decreasing. Unless we act! Or we will have to look at pictures of forests to remember, how they look like. — Something also interesting — Bookmark this post to...
