The company, Capsis Hotels & Resorts, during the winter 2006-7, changed its Crete property from a resort convention hotel to an exclusive and VIP Resort complex and re-opened its doors in May 2007. The up-to-now known as Capsis Beach Hotel & Sofitel Capsis Palace Hotel & Convention Centre, in Aghia Pelaghia, 20 minutes from Heraklion City and International Airport, is now called THE CAPSIS RESORT CRETE! This name is the new name used by the property until the hotel reached its full and total re-branding which will be announced by the end of summer 2007. The reason of this major change in the hotel concept and the reconstruction of the property took place in order for the Head Company, Capsis Hotels & Resorts, to introduce to the world a new type of upscale & VIP holiday destination in Greece, different from anything else the country has to offer. The reconstruction project was completed in a record-period of six months, costing a total of 25 million euros.

ALL-SUITE HOTEL:

Solely decorated with furniture from the BOFFI Italian Collection.
An exclusive hotel with luxury suites, maisonettes & villas with private Jacuzzi or pool, lobby, restaurants, bar, spa and beach. Guests’ check-in is done privately in their own exclusive accommodation.
In this section lies the unique BLACK PEARL VILLA of 510 sq.m with private indoor and outdoor pools, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, bar & billiard room, fire-place living-room, dinning-room with kitchen, office, home cinema room, gym room with private Hamam, butler room, facilities and services for disabled guests, private pool deck and private sea deck.

MINOAN AMUSEMENT PARK FOR KIDS:
Brand new.
An exclusive and private club only for children from four to 14 years of age also open to the general public. Inspired by the famous Ancient Minoan sites of Knossos, Phaistos and Malia in Crete, this historical amusement park is built on 4.000 sq.m and is the only Minoan Mythological Park in Greece and the only amusement park in the country located in a hotel complex. The main idea is for children to enjoy themselves through a variety of games, activities and sports and at the same time learn the history and mythology of Ancient Greece and the Minoan Civilization.
